treaty of Waitangi Roleplay

Description: On the day that we started it was close to Waitangi day. We started with some research about Waitangi day. Then we got the second task and that was to make something to show what we learnt. We got many choices to choose from but i'm not going to say all of them but Katie, Hannah P and I got into a group and all together decided to make a roleplay video.

This is our video.
Hope you like it. :)

Big Idea: Waitangi day was around the corner when we started this project so hope you liked the.

Feedback: I think that was really good that you have a clear voice. Phoebe

Feedforward: Next time you could maybe dress up into a clothes that fit into the theme of the video. Phoebe

Evaluation: I think that I enjoyed being a loud character but I didn't show up that much in the video and If I where to do this again I wouldn't get go in a group especially when the other students are in different Whanau classes.

  • What does Waitangi mean?

  • Why is the day on a weekend?
A. So the people who work on the weekends they have a day off
  • How do we celebrate this day?

Te Reo

WALTuse Te Reo in a simple conversation.

Task: create a puppet pals animation to share your Te Reo learning.

Success Criteria
  • clear voice
  • saying the right words (makes sense)
  • animation matches the words
  • trying our best pronunciation

I think
My learning partner thinks
I used a clear voice
I used a clear voice by not mumbling or shouting just using my normal voice.
Bridget uesed a clear voice because i could hear what she was saying.
I used the right words
I practiced so I can say the right word at the right time.
Bridget used the right words.
My animation matched my words
me and Juven practiced so we could match the animation with our words.
Bridget animation did matched her words.
What did I find challenging?
I found challenging to pronouncing the words.
i think Bridget found challenging when she had to say the words right.
What did I like about…
I liked how we could show other people what we are learning around the world.
i liked it when Bridget was saying what the words are.
I love how you have explained what each phrase means so your audience is learning from you and I am pleased that this was something you enjoyed. You have created a clip showing your Te Reo learning. You and Juven worked to make sure your animation matched your words! It can be tricky to learn new words but I think you have a clear voice and your pronunciation is great.
