Art Portfolio Sample

Description: Every Year at Russell Street School, we do an art sample, for our Calendar/ Dairy Art. The Art that we did in Poutama for 2016, We did an art style that we call 'Making Marks', We call it Making Marks because the marks tell us a story about ourselves. My Marks has a Theme, and that Theme is of course Japan, because Japan plays a big part in my career and my life. You can see the things that are Japanese themed in the top flag, my family, on my jacket and in the Baby Metal section. The other two slots aren't Japanese themed and the one on the right is Christen themed because i'm Christen and that play's a big part in my 'LIFE'. The one on the left is a rainbow background because I like rainbows and it says that i'm mostly always happy. The last section on the bottom is just black because I want it to make my portrait pop.

Feedback: I think you did a really good job on the description and how you explained yourself. :-D
                                                                                                                      -Mayson Maru/ Reko Yuki
Feedforward: I don't think you really need to work on anything. (-:

Evaluation: I think that I did well at creating art that is realistic and not manga because I think that manga is my strength but realistic isn't but next time I would make my person more lower so I could have more room for the marks.

One Word Art Portfolio Sample

Description: In 2016 we have a One Word. A One Word is one word that describes a goal that we want to work towards. This goal needs to be something that can benefit you  My One Word is "Friendship" Because in my report said that my relationship with others was not that good so thats what I'm working on.

To show what our One Word is, we decided to do some art that is a picture of us holding a sign and the sign is the art that says our word.

This is mine:

Feedback: I think that Bridget did well at thinking of what to make it look more interesting.

Feedforward: I think that Bridget should work on putting more colours in .Naomi

Evaluation: I think that I did well at being creative and showing things that I liked into the letters but I think that I should have done what Naomi said and adding more neon colours and not just pastel like colours. Next time I would have done Neon colours because they are my favorite kind of colours.

Sharing our Stories
We have been creating a variety of art pieces this term. These pieces are all about ourselves and sharing our stories. We have used different media like collage, watercolour, crayon and clay to create our art. We are beginning to make choices as artists. Each piece of art shares a little about us.

WALT: share our stories and ideas through art.
WALT: explore a variety of media and make choices about how
we want our finished piece to look

Success criteria: * our message is clear
* our art represents us
* we have tried different media
* we choose the media to create the effect we want

I Think
My Buddy Thinks
my message is clear
I think that my message is clear because I always check that it makes sense.
I think that Bridgets message is clear.
my art represents me
My art represents if I know what it’s about.
I think that Bridgets art represents her.
I have tried different media
Yes and it’s helped me in the past.
Yes Bridget did try different things.
I choose media to create the effect I wanted
When I get to choose before I get the stuff for the art I alway plan what I need, shapes and how it’s going to look.
She did get the effect she wanted.
my favourite media is… because
well it depends of what art I’m doing.

I chose to make a movie because I love making my own movie and posting it on youtube speaking of youtube if you go on youtube you can serch bridgets art movie or clik hear... http://youtu.be/NiYCXLSxKTg to what it on youtube.

Bridget, you have a clear vision of what you want to create and work hard to achieve you goal. You enjoy the time to plan and think before you start and this thought is reflected in your completed pieces.
